What Conformation is
In conformation a dog is judged against the written standard for its breed. Dogs that win their class go on to compete for Winners, and Winners earns championship points. How many points a win is worth depends on how many dogs of that breed and sex were defeated, under a schedule that varies by region. A dog that also takes Best of Winners gets the higher of the Winners Dog and Winners Bitch points, and one that goes Best of Breed can count the dogs it beat there too.
An AKC Champion needs 15 points, including two majors, which are wins of three points or more. The two majors must come from different judges, and the 15 points from at least three judges in all. A Grand Champion, GCH, needs 25 points with three majors under three different judges, and must defeat at least one champion at three events. After that the points keep counting: Bronze at 100, Silver at 200, Gold at 400 and Platinum at 800.
What Title keeps for your Conformation dog
A championship tracker
Enter each win with its points and its judge. Title counts the points, the majors and the different judges, and says when the CH requirements are met.
Every show result on the timeline
Record the show, the class, the placement and the judge, so the season reads in order on the dog’s record.
Titles on the record
CH, GCH, GCHB, GCHS, GCHG and GCHP are recognised by code and by name, typed in or read from an AKC My Dog Summary PDF.
Beside the performance titles
A champion that also works keeps its show titles and its sport titles on one Passport, which is how a breeder or a buyer wants to read it.
